How It Works:
Tretinoin, the active ingredient in Retin-A, helps to unclog pores, preventing the formation of acne and allowing the skin’s natural renewal process to work more effectively. It promotes the turnover of skin cells, reducing the occurrence of pimples and blackheads, and can lead to smoother, clearer skin over time.
Instructions for Use:
1. Wash the affected area with a mild soap or cleanser; pat the skin dry.
2. Apply a thin layer of Retin-A Gel to the entire affected area once daily at bedtime or as directed by your healthcare provider.
3. Avoid contact with eyes, ears, nostrils, and mouth. rinse thoroughly if accidental contact occurs.
Precautions:
- For external use only. Do not ingest.
- Avoid using other irritating skin products, such as those containing alcohol, astringents, or lime.
- Use sunscreen and protective clothing to cover treated areas when outdoors; tretinoin can make your skin more sensitive to the sun.
- Avoid wax epilation and products containing resorcinol, sulfur, or salicylic acid while using tretinoin.
Possible Side Effects:
- Dryness
- Redness
- Peeling
