Adenosine Injection is an intravenous medication primarily used for its antiarrhythmic properties. It is effective in treating certain types of supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) by slowing down the conduction of electrical impulses through the atrioventricular (AV) node of the heart. This helps to restore a normal heart rhythm.

Product Name: Adenosine Injection
Strength: 60 mg/20 mL
Dosage Form: Single Dose Vial
Volume: 20 mL

Indications and Usage:

  • Used to treat paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (PSVT), including those associated with accessory bypass tracts (Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome).
  • Can be used as a diagnostic agent to evaluate tachycardias of unknown origin.

The dosing and administration should be performed under close monitoring by healthcare professionals due to the potential for transient heart block or other cardiac effects.
