How to Order:
Dicyclomine Hydrochloride Injection is an antispasmodic and anticholinergic agent used primarily for the treatment of functional bowel or irritable bowel syndrome. Each single dose vial contains 20 mg of Dicyclomine Hydrochloride in a 2 mL aqueous solution, formulated for intramuscular administration.
Composition:
- Active Ingredient: Dicyclomine Hydrochloride 20 mg
- Excipients/Inactives: Sterile water for injection, and may contain hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide for pH adjustment.
Clinical Pharmacology:
Dicyclomine acts by relaxing smooth muscles in the gastrointestinal tract, alleviating spasms and reducing associated pain and discomfort of irritable bowel syndrome. This injection delivers rapid relief by intramuscular administration when compared to oral forms.
Indication:
Indicated for the management of functional bowel disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome.
Administration:
Administered via intramuscular injection only. Do not administer intravenously. The typical dose may vary based on patient-specific factors and the severity of symptoms.

Precautions:
Not intended for use in pediatric patients. Use with caution in elderly patients and those with preexisting cardiovascular conditions, glaucoma, or urinary retention.
