3. Remove the swab from the packaging, being careful not to touch the sterile cotton tip.
4. Holding the swab by the handle, gently insert the cotton tip into the area you wish to sample. For example, if you are collecting a throat sample, gently insert the cotton tip into the back of the throat.
5. Rotate the swab gently for a few seconds to collect the sample.
6. Next, remove the swab from the sampling site and carefully place it back into the tube.
7. Break the handle of the swab at the marked breakpoint and close the cap tightly to secure the sample.
8. Submit the sample for testing within the appropriate timeframe specified by healthcare professionals or laboratory instructions.
9. If you are collecting multiple samples, repeat the procedure with a separate swab.
