How to Order:
Herceptin Hylecta is a prescription medication used to treat certain types of breast cancer that are HER2-positive. It contains two active ingredients, trastuzumab and Hyaluronidase-Oysk, which work together to block the activity of HER2 proteins, slowing the growth and spread of cancer cells. The medication is administered as an injection under the skin every 3 weeks and the 5 mL refers to the amount of solution in each individual dose.
Herceptin Hylecta is a medication for the treatment of certain types of breast cancer. It is a combination of the drug trastuzumab and the enzyme hyaluronidase.
Trastuzumab is a monoclonal antibody that works by binding to a protein called HER2, which is present in large amounts in some breast cancer cells. By binding to HER2, trastuzumab can slow down or stop the growth and spread of these cancer cells.
Hyaluronidase is an enzyme that helps to break down a substance called hyaluronic acid, which is found in the connective tissues in the body. Hyaluronidase helps to create channels in these tissues, allowing medications like trastuzumab to be more easily absorbed into the bloodstream.
Together, trastuzumab and hyaluronidase work to fight against HER2-positive breast cancer by slowing down tumor growth and potentially shrinking it.
Herceptin Hylecta is administered as an injection under the skin every 3 weeks. It may be used alone or in combination with other cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
