To use this injection, follow the steps below:
1. Before administering the injection, make sure to wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. This is to prevent any contamination or infection.
2. Find a clean and well-lit area to prepare and administer the injection. You may also lay out all the necessary materials such as the vials, syringe, sterile needles, and alcohol swabs.
3. Check the vial for any signs of damage, such as cracks or leaks. Do not use the vial if there are any visible defects.
4. Taking the sterile needle and syringe from their packaging, carefully insert the needle into the vial. Withdraw the designated amount of medication according to your doctor's instructions.
5. Now, prepare the injection site. The most common injection sites are the buttocks, thighs, or upper arms. Using an alcohol swab, clean the chosen injection site and let it dry.
6. Once the skin is dry, hold the syringe like a pencil with the needle pointing upward. Remove any air bubbles by gently tapping the syringe and then pushing out the air.
7. Holding the syringe at a 90-degree angle, insert the needle into the prepared injection site. Slowly push the plunger to administer the medication.
8. When the syringe is empty, carefully remove the needle from the skin. Immediately dispose of the used needle and syringe in a sharps container.
