The spectrum of activity of gentamicin includes many gram-negative and gram-positive aerobic and anaerobic bacteria.
The usual dosage is 1 to 2 mg/kg/day in 3 or 4 divided doses, but may range from 0.5 to 6 mg/kg/day.
