MicroClave Needleless Connector For Peripheral, Arterial, and Central Venous Catheters
MicroClave needleless connector is a medical device that is used to connect peripheral catheters, arterial catheters, and central venous catheters to IV tubing. It is designed to reduce the risk of accidental needlestick injuries to healthcare workers and minimize the risk of contamination during IV catheter insertion, administration of medication, or withdrawal of blood. The MicroClave connector has two internal valves that automatically open and close when the catheter is connected or disconnected, creating a closed system that helps prevent the entry of bacteria and air into the bloodstream. It also allows for easy flushing and locking of the catheter, as well as an audible click to confirm secure connection. The use of these needleless connectors has been shown to decrease the incidence of catheter-related bloodstream infections.
For Peripheral Catheters, Arterial, and central Venous Catheters to Administer IV fluids or medication or to aspirate blood.
