Nitrostat Sublingual Tablets 0.4 mg Nitroglycerin Tablets are prescription medication used to treat angina (chest pain) caused by coronary artery disease. They contain a fast-acting form of nitroglycerin, a vasodilator that helps widen blood vessels and improve blood flow to the heart. These tablets are taken sublingually (placed under the tongue) and quickly dissolve, allowing the medication to be absorbed into the bloodstream and provide rapid relief from chest pain. They are typically used as needed when angina symptoms occur or as a preventive measure before physical activities that may trigger angina. Nitrostat Sublingual Tablets should not be used for chest pain caused by other medical conditions or for prolonged or frequent use without consulting a doctor.
