With a unique, broad adhesive foam border, this advanced dressing securely holds in place without the need for additional taping, making wound management simpler and more effective than ever before. Each box contains 5 sterile, individually packed 2.5" x 2.5" dressings, ensuring cleanliness and safety for sensitive wound sites.

What It Is Used For

DuoDERM® CGF® Border Dressing is designed for the management of both partial and full-thickness wounds where optimal moisture retention and protection from outside contaminants are crucial. It is ideal for:

  • Dermal ulcers (including full-thickness wounds)
  • Pressure ulcers (Stage II-IV)
  • Leg ulcers
  • Superficial wounds
  • Partial thickness burns
  • Donor sites

Details & Features

  • Advanced Hydrocolloid Technology: Creates and maintains a moist wound healing environment, which supports natural healing and minimizes pain during changes.
  • Wide, Flexible Foam Border: Enhances adhesion and security, ideal for hard-to-dress or high friction areas (e.g., joints, heels, elbows).
  • No Additional Taping Required: Simplifies application and saves time.
  • Sterile & Individually Packed: Reduces risk of infection and cross-contamination.
  • Easy Application & Removal: The adhesive border provides a secure fit without sticking to the actual wound bed, minimizing trauma on removal.

Directions for Use

  1. Cleanse the wound with a sterile saline solution and gently pat dry the surrounding skin.
  2. Select the appropriate size of DuoDERM® CGF® Border Dressing to ensure coverage of at least 1 inch beyond the wound edge.
  3. Remove the backing from the adhesive side of the dressing, being careful not to touch the wound contact surface.
  4. Apply the dressing over the wound, smoothing outward to ensure good adhesion and eliminate air pockets.
  5. Change the dressing as needed, typically every 3-7 days or when exudate approaches the dressing edge.

Dosage & Frequency

  • Dressing should be changed when it becomes saturated with exudate or as directed by a healthcare professional.
  • Typical wear time is 3-7 days depending on the amount of wound drainage and condition of surrounding skin.
  • If signs of infection occur, reassess the wound and dressing choice with a healthcare provider.

CDC Guidelines Reference

  • The CDC recommends using sterile dressings on acute wounds and surgically cleaned chronic wounds.
  • Dressings should support a moist wound environment and be changed when saturated or per manufacturer guidelines.
  • Always use proper hand hygiene and aseptic techniques during dressing changes.

Warnings

  • For external use only.
  • Do not use on patients with a known sensitivity to hydrocolloid components.
  • Not intended for use on third-degree burns or wounds with heavy exudate or suspected infection.
  • If infection, increased redness, or delayed healing occurs, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
  • Do not reuse. Single-use only.

Potential Side Effects

  • Mild irritation or maceration of surrounding skin.
  • Allergic reaction or hypersensitivity (rare) to hydrocolloid material or adhesive.
  • Transient odor or change in wound color—may occur due to interaction with wound exudate (not necessarily a sign of infection).
  • If severe irritation, excessive redness, or signs of infection develop, discontinue use and contact a healthcare professional.

Give your patients or loved ones the best in wound healing and comfort—choose DuoDERM® CGF® Border Sterile Dressing for reliable, secure, and advanced wound care, even in the hardest-to-dress locations.

Just received it on Saturday. Applied the first patch then. Don't know the results yet. Not much for instructions.
